Aviva graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Printmaking. After moving to Long Island, NY from Chicago, IL, she studied ceramics and pottery at Hofstra University. In NY her work was seen in various shows, she taught weaving and she began to receive commissions for her stained glass pieces. Since her move to North Carolina she had been juried into 2 Shows and won 3rd prize in the last one.

   In 2009 she was a part of a two woman show at Tryon Fine Arts and participated in Saluda's Art Festival. Aviva currently serves as the Vice President of Tryon Painters and Sculptors, in Tryon, NC. Her work can now be seen at Tryon Arts & Crafts and she will be having her own show in November, 2010 at the Fine Arts Center, Tryon, NC.

   Recently, Aviva was juried into the Asheville Airport's AIRPORT ART GALLERY which opened March 3 and will run until June 15, 2010.
